I have inserted Gists from GitHub into my documentation and it displays beautifully. In addition, you can verify the version number by going to Evernote > About Evernote from the menu bar, and looking at the bottom of the 'About Evernote' window. The integration with other platforms is amazing and constantly expanding. Updated versions for iOS refuse to recognize the tag/notebook changes despite logging out/in, deleting/re-installing the app, rebooting the devices etc. The code syntax for any programming language you use is just heaven, and it copies and pastes just as nice (I remember I spent hour debugging things only to find out OneNote was pasting curly double quotes at some point). I made huge changes to my notebook and tagging structure recently in Evernote for Mac, prior to upgrading to the new version. Moving things around, turning blocks into other things, etc. I like how you just organise things with workspaces and then you can define your hierarchy as you deem necessary. It works incredibly well for that and it pushes to other devices flawlessly (Bear requires a subscription for this). Version 5.0 is a huge reworking of the note-taking service's interface that, even in this early form, looks to be a big improvement. Use the app to jot notes, create to-do lists, clip entire Web pages, manage passwords, and record audio.

I use this application to document everything I do, especially code and code snippets that I use for web development. Evernote has launched a new beta version of its Mac app. Evernote for Mac allow you to capture information in any environment using whatever device or platform you find most convenient, and makes this information accessible and searchable at any time, from anywhere. It's been 6+ months and I have not looked back. I found this App through a very Quora email digest when I was cleaning my inbox and man I am glad I did. Notes App yet I've always found something that just would not let my workflow.

I have used them all: Evernote, OneNote, Quiver, Bear. Stay on top of whats happening in the Evernote developer community. I had to take a break from work to just write how awesome this application is.
